A Mantova dietro al cancelletto di partenza ci sarà anche Jeffrey Herlings, una vera novità per questo 2026.
Il forte campione olandese dopo tanti anni e tante vittorie con la KTM è passato alla Honda del Team HRC di Giacomo Gariboldi.
Sul circuito Tazio Nuvolari sarà l’occasione di vederlo contro uno dei suoi sicuri avversari di questa stagione: Tim Gajser sulla Yamaha.

In Mantova, behind the starting gate, Jeffrey Herlings, a real novelty for 2026.
After many years and many victories with KTM, the strong Dutch champion has moved to Giacomo Gariboldi’s Team HRC Honda.
The Tazio Nuvolari circuit will be the opportunity to see him against one of his sure opponents this season: Tim Gajser on Yamaha.
A duel not to be missed at the Internazionali d’Italia on February 8.

Si parte con una nuova stagione all’insegna di tante novità, partiamo dalla prima: la moto. Come ti sei trovato in questi primi test invernali?
Sono andati bene! Abbiamo fatto buoni progressi nel poco tempo a nostra disposizione, quindi vedremo presto come andrà in gara.

Hi Jeffrey.
We’re kicking off a new season with lots of changes, starting with the first one: the bike. How did you find these first winter tests?
Was good! We made good improvements during the short time we had, so we’ll see how it is in race situations soon.

Anche per questo 2026 sei visto come uno dei riders da battere Edi certo saperti in sella alla Honda cambia tanto le possibilità e anche per i tuoi avversari, non è facile capire cosa aspettarsi da un combattivo come te, tu come partirai alla prima gara del mondiale?
È un campionato lungo, la costanza sarà fondamentale, quindi lavoriamo su questo aspetto in questa stagione, dato che tutto è nuovo. Nuovo equipaggiamento, nuova squadra, nuova moto! Sarà sicuramente una sfida.

Your rivals see you as one of the riders to beat again in 2026. How do you feel about that? Riding a Honda certainly changes the odds, and your rivals won’t find it easy to know what to expect from a fighter like you. How will you approach the first race of the world championship?
It’s a long championship, concistency will be the key, so let’s work into it this season, as everything is new. New gear, new team, new bike! So it will be a challenge for sure.

Internazionali d’Italia, sono un test importante per questo 2026, su cosa lavorerai maggiormente?
La considererò una gara di prova per il GP, per vedere a che punto siamo.

The Italian Internationals are an important test for 2026. What will you be focusing on most?
Taking it as a practice race for the GP’s, to see where we are standing.

Abbiamo visto una tua intervista dove hai dichiarato di aver fatto tantissime manche di allenamento, vuoi parlarcene?
Abbiamo fatto solo la preparazione invernale per la stagione, cercando di costruire una buona base fisica facendo molti allenamenti di resistenza in moto e cercando di imparare a guidare la nuova moto.

We saw an interview with you where you said you did a lot of training runs. Would you like to tell us about that
Just winter prep for the season, and trying to build a good fitness base by doing loads of endurance moto’s and to try to learn the new bike.

Il tuo stile di guida è sempre stato aggressivo, ti abbiamo sempre visto dare il massimo e forse anche di più, in sella alla Honda cambierà qualche cosa?
Cercherò di continuare a dare il meglio, proprio come ho fatto con la mia squadra precedente. E spero che questo si traduca in buoni risultati per me e per la squadra.

Your riding style has always been aggressive, and we’ve always seen you give your all and maybe even more. Will anything change with the Honda?
I try to keep doing my best, just like I did for my previous team. And hopefully that get’s paid back in good results for myself and the team.

A chi dedichi 2 pensieri: uno per il tuo passato e uno per il tuo futuro?
Il primo grazie alla KTM per gli ultimi 17 anni fantastici che abbiamo trascorso insieme, e il secondo alla Honda, ora mi concentrerò sulla nuova moto e il nuovo team.

Who would you like to dedicate two thoughts to: one for your past and one for your future?
Thanks to KTM for the great last 17 years we had, and now focus on the Honda bike.
