XXXVII FMI CAMPIONATI INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA EICMA SERIES 2024
Start Time – Mancano solo tre giorni all’inizio delle operazioni tecniche che daranno il via al primo dei due round degli Internazionali d’Italia EICMA Series di Motocross 2024. La pista di Riola Sardo (OR) è pronta ad accogliere uomini e mezzi che stanno sbarcando in questi giorni sulla magnifica isola del mediterraneo che da diversi anni ospita la preparazione di alcuni tra i migliori piloti del mondo, diventando vero e proprio fulcro delle attività pre stagionali dei team ufficiali e privati in vista dell’inizio delle serie continentali e iridate.
MX1 – Impressionante la lista dei piloti al via nella classe regina con molti motivi di interesse, tra i quali il debutto assoluto del team Fantic Factory Racing MXGP con la nuova gestione olandese e i due piloti in pista: l’esperto Glenn Codenhoff e il debuttante in sella alla 450, Roan Van Der Moosdijk. Debutto molto atteso anche per il vice Campione del Mondo degli ultimi 4 mondiali MX2, Jago Geerts che sarà in gara con la sua Yamaha 450, con la quale disputerà per la prima volta tutta la stagione MXGP 2024 dopo aver già fatto vedere cose egregie negli ultimi due Gran Premi delle Nazioni a RedBud e a Ernée. Il belga sarà in gara assieme al suo nuovo compagno di squadra, Maxime Renaux, tra i principali contendenti al titolo iridato della classe regina, così come Romain Febvre, vincitore di ben 7 GP nel 2023 con la sua Kawasaki e di Tim Gajser che con la Honda HRC, è più determinato che mai a lanciare la sfida per il sesto mondiale. Con lui e l’HRC, in pista anche Ruben Fernandez, mentre i nostri colori saranno difesi da Ivo Monticelli, al debutto con la Beta ufficiale gestita dal team MRT e affiancato dal compagno Ben Watson. In gara anche Alvin Ostlund con la Honda, di Jan Pancar al debutto con la KTM 450, il vincitore del Gran Premio di Sardegna del 2022, Calvin Vlaanderen (Yamaha) e del Campione Europeo della EMX2t 201, Max Spies (KTM).
MX2 – In MX2 la testa di serie numero uno sarà senz’altro Andrea Adamo, all’esordio stagionale dopo aver vinto il Campionato del Mondo 2023 della 250 in sella alla sua KTM factory; a dargli filo da torcere in vista dell’inizio di stagione Simon Langenfelder e Marc-Antoine Rossi, entrambi con le GASGAS ufficiali gestite dal team De Carli che ha da poco festeggiato i 30 anni di attività. Tra i piloti azzurri in pista anche Nicholas Lapucci (Husqvarna), Luca Ruffini (Husqvarna), Andrea Rossi (KTM) e Ferruccio Zanchi. Il Campione Europeo della EMX125 2021, Valerio Lata esordirà invece sulla GASGAS del team Beddini Factory Juniors assieme al nuovo compagno di squadra, il danese Mads Fredsoe. Dalla Francia, con la squadra F&H ci sarà Quentin Prugneres (Kawasaki), mentre c’è molta attesa per l’esordio sulla Yamaha di Lotte Van Drunen, la giovanissima olandese già protagonista del Mondiale WMX 2023 che a Riola si metterà in gioco contro i colleghi maschi in una sfida difficilissima.
125 – Al via a Riola anche la ottavo di litro, categoria che vedrà in pista piloti provenienti da più di 10 paesi, in un campionato che sempre più attira gli atleti da tutta Europa che si stanno preparando per la serie continentale EMX125 che prenderà il via proprio in Sardegna il 7 Aprile. Tra loro gli italiani Nicolò Alvisi (KTM), Mattia Barbieri (Fantic), Brando Rispoli (TM), Riccardo Pini (Fantic), Alessandro Gaspari (KTM) Francesco Zoriaco (Fantic) e Simone Mancini (Yamaha) e alcuni tra i più promettenti talenti europei, tra i quali Noel Zanocz (Fantic), Dean Gregoire (KTM) e Gyan Doensen (KTM).
Copertura televisiva assicurata dalla diretta streaming su Federmoto.TV che permetterà agli spettatori di tutto il mondo di seguire le gare di Riola (04/02) e Mantova (11/02) a partire dalle 13.15 con commento in Italiano di Marco Gualdani e inglese di Lorenzo Resta, con continui interventi dalla pit lane di Martina Riboni.
Start Time – 3 only days until the start of the verifications that will kick off the first of the two rounds of the Internazionali d’Italia EICMA Series of Motocross 2024. The Riola Sardo (OR) track is ready to welcome riders, mechanics, media and vehicles who are in these days in Sardinia, that since several years host the training of some of the best riders in the world, becoming the real hub of the pre-season activities of the factory and private teams ahead the start of the EMX and world championship series.
MX1 – The list of riders at the start in the premier class is impressive, with many reasons of interest, including the absolute debut of the Fantic Factory Racing MXGP team with the new Dutch management and two riders: the expert Glenn Codenhoff and the debutant, Roan Van Der Moosdijk. Much awaited debut also for the MX2 vice World Champion. The Belgian will be competing together with his new teammate, Maxime Renaux, among the main contenders for the MXGP world title, as well as Romain Febvre, winner of 7 GPs in 2023 with his Kawasaki and Tim Gajser who with the Honda HRC is more determined than ever to launch the challenge for his sixth world championship. With him and the HRC squad, Ruben Fernandez will also be on track, while Ivo Monticelli will make his debut with the factory Beta managed by the MRT team and supported by his teammate Ben Watson. On track also Alvin Ostlund with his Honda, Jan Pancar making his debut with the KTM 450, the winner of the 2022 Sardinian Grand Prix, Calvin Vlaanderen (Yamaha) and the EMX2t 201 European Champion, Max Spies (KTM).
MX2 – In MX2 Andrea Adamo will make his seasonal debut after winning the 2023 World Championship aboard his factory KTM; the Sicilian will face Simon Langenfelder and Marc-Antoine Rossi, both with the official GASGAS managed by the De Carli team which recently celebrated 30 years of activity, Nicholas Lapucci (Husqvarna), Luca Ruffini (Husqvarna), Andrea Rossi (KTM) and Ferruccio Zanchi. The 2021 EMX125 European Champion, Valerio Lata will instead make his debut on the GASGAS of the Beddini Factory Juniors team together with his new teammate, the Danish Mads Fredsoe. From France, with the F&H team there will be Quentin Prugneres (Kawasaki), while there is much interest for the debut on the Yamaha for Lotte Van Drunen, the very young Dutch girl in Riola will compete against the colleagues in a tough challenge.
125 – In Riola we will have also the 1252t class, a category that will see riders from more than 10 countries on the track, in a championship that is increasingly attracting athletes from all over Europe who are preparing for the EMX125 continental series which will start in Sardinia on April 7th. Among them the Italians Nicolò Alvisi (KTM), Mattia Barbieri (Fantic), Brando Rispoli (TM), Riccardo Pini (Fantic), Alessandro Gaspari (KTM) Francesco Zoriaco (Fantic) and Simone Mancini (Yamaha) will face some of the most promising European talents, including Noel Zanocz (Fantic), Dean Gregoire (KTM) and Gyan Doensen (KTM).
Television coverage ensured by live streaming on Federmoto.TV which will allow spectators from all over the world to follow the races in Riola (04/02) and Mantova (11/02) starting from 1.15pm with commentary in Italian by Marco Gualdani and in English by Lorenzo Resta, with continuous interventions from the pit lane from Martina Riboni.
