Report Time – Una Sardegna alla vigilia della primavera ha accolta la prima prova degli “Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series” di motocross!

Come sempre alla pista “Le Dune” si apre la stagione di gare internazionali in Europa, come sottolineato dal Presidente della Federazione Motociclistica Italiana, Giovanni Copioli. 

Tanti piloti stranieri al via e con Tony Cairoli a bordo pista come spettatore, ancora convalescente ma con tanta voglia di rientrare in pista da protagonista.

Bellissime gare, molto tirate e con tanti colpi di scena, che hanno entusiasmato gli spettatori, soprattutto on line grazie alla diretta web.

Report Time – A Sardinia on the eve of spring welcomed the first round of the “Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series” of motocross!

As always, the season of international competitions in Europe opens at the “Le Dune” track, as said by the President of the Italian Motorcycle Federation, Giovanni Copioli.

Many foreign riders at the start and with Tony Cairoli on the track as a spectator, still recovering but with a great desire to get back on track as a protagonist.

Beautiful races, strong and with many battles, which exalt the spectators, especially online thanks to live on the web.

PODIO SUPERCAMPIONE

SUPERCAMPIONE – Tanti i colpi di scena in questa manche, dove a conquistare l’Hole-Shot EICMA e il “Best Lap – 24MX” è stato Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), che nei primi giri ha cercato di allungare sui suoi avversari, capitanati da Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team), seguiti da Glenn Coldenhoff (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP), Nicholas Lapucci (Fantic Factory Team Maddii) e Thomas Olsen (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing).

Lapucci non è riuscito a tenere il ritmo dei primi, perdendo alcune posizioni, mentre Olsen ha recuperato portandosi a ridosso dei primi.

A circa 5 minuti dalla fine il leader spagnolo della KTM Prado è rientrato nella corsia box abbandonando la gara e lasciando così il comando al francese della Kawasaki Febvre.

Alle spalle del vincitore hanno finito Olsen, Coldenhoff, Van Horebeek (SDM Corse Beta MX) e il primo degli italiani Ivo Monticelli (One Two Eight -Kawasaki).

SUPERCAMPIONE: Many changes in this heat, where Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) won the EICMA Hole-Shot and the “Best Lap – 24MX”, who pushing in the first laps, followed by Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team), Glenn Coldenhoff (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP), Nicholas Lapucci (Fantic Factory Team Maddii) and Thomas Olsen (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing).

Lapucci was unable to keep the right  rhythm, losing some positions, while Olsen recovered and moved close to the leaders.

About 5 minutes from the end, the Spanish leader of KTM Prado returned to the pit lane leave the race and leaving the leadership to the French Kawasaki rider, Febvre.

Behind the winner finished Olsen, Coldenhoff, Van Horebeek (SDM Corse Beta MX) and the first of the Italians Ivo Monticelli (One Two Eight -Kawasaki).

VINCITORE MX1 – JORGE PRADO

MX1 – Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) ha dominato questa manche della MX1, scattando al comando conquistando l’Hole-Shot EICMA e allungando su tutti gli avversari capitanati da Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team). Il pilota francese della Yamaha è scivolato a circa 10 minuti dalla fine andando a concludere al sesto posto, dopo aver fatto segnare il miglior tempo sul giro e così conquistando il premio “Best Lap – 24MX”.

Terzo nelle prime fasi di gara Alessandro Lupino (MRT Racing Team KTM), che ha battagliato con Glenn Coldenhoff (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP) e Thomas Olsen (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing).

Coldenhoff ha tirato dando il massimo e conquistato il secondo posto finale, seguito da Olsen e Jeremy Van Horebeek (SDM Corse Beta MX).

MX1 – Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) dominated this MX1 heat, taking the lead after start, with EICMA Hole-Shot plate and stretching over all the others riders led by Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team), but the French rider crashed about 10 minutes from the end, finishing in sixth place, after winning the “Best Lap – 24MX” award (best lap time).

Third at the beginning Alessandro Lupino (MRT Racing Team KTM), who battled with Glenn Coldenhoff (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP) and Thomas Olsen (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing).

Coldenhoff pushed a lot and took second place, followed by Olsen and Jeremy Van Horebeek (SDM Corse Beta MX).

VINCITORE MX2 – JAGO GEERTS

MX2 – Gara tiratissima fin dal via in MX2, con Nicolas Lapucci (Fantic Factory Team Maddii) che scatta velocissimo conquistando l’Hole-Shot EICMA, seguito da Mattia Guadagnini (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) e il belga Jago Geerts (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2).

I primi erano in bagarre ravvicinata e mentre Guadagnini cercava di superare il leader ha allungato una staccata al termine del rettilineo a fianco della pit lane e prima della curva che porta al finish line ha perso il controllo della sua KTM ed è caduto, rialzandosi al quinto posto. Durante la gara è riuscito a recuperare diverse posizioni prima di scivolare nuovamente, ma il suo ottimo ritmo di gara gli ha fatto conquistare il premio “Best Lap – 24MX”.

Verso il fine gara Geert, approfittando anche dei numerosi doppiaggi, supera Lapucci e allunga fino alla bandiera a scacchi.

Terzo conclude lo svedese Tim Edberg (Yamaha), seguito dallo sfortunato Mattia Guadagnini.

MX2 – Very strong race from the start in MX2, with Nicolas Lapucci (Fantic Factory Team Maddii) who starts very quickly, winning the EICMA Hole-Shot, followed by Mattia Guadagnini (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and the Belgian Jago Geerts (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 ).

Guadagnini was trying to overtake the leader and he extended a braking at the end of the straight next to the pit lane and before the curve leading to the finish line he lost control of his KTM and crashed, getting up to fifth place. During the race he overtakes several opponents before fall again, but thanks to his excellent race rhythm he won “best lap – 24MX”.

Towards the end of the race Geert, overtakes Lapucci, he pushed to the checkered flag.

Third concludes the Swedish Tim Edberg (Yamaha), followed by Mattia Guadagnini.

VINCITORE CL 125 – HAKON OSTERHAGEN

125 – Gare tiratissime dove i giovani hanno dato dimostrazione di essere agguerriti e con tanta voglia di vincere.

Podio di gara uno e gara due invariati con Hakon Osterhagen (Fantic Factory Team Maddii), Valerio Lata (MRT Racing Team KTM) e Andrea Rossi (Mxone KTM).

In gara uno il norvegese della Fantic è partito al comando andando a vincere, ma in gara due invece ha dovuto faticare, nonostante il miglior giro (come in gara 1) con il “Best Lap – 24MX”. Al comando della seconda manche conquistando l’Hole-Shot EICMA è stato Valerio Lata, che è stato superato dopo pochi metri da Andrea Rossi. I due italiani hanno fatto un bellissimo duello, ma a circa 8 minuti dalla fine Rossi si è fatto superare da Osterhagen e l’italiano subito dopo è caduto in una curva, a tutto vantaggio di Lata. Rossi si è rialzato ma ha concluso così sull’ultimo gradino del podio.

125 – Very strong races where the youngsters have shown that they are combative and with a great desire to win.

Race one and race two podiums unchanged with Hakon Osterhagen (Fantic Factory Team Maddii), Valerio Lata (MRT Racing Team KTM) and Andrea Rossi (Mxone KTM).

In race one the Norwegian from Fantic started in the lead and went on to win, but in race two he had a not easy manche, also with “Best Lap – 24MX”. Valerio Lata leading the second heat by winning the EICMA Hole-Shot, but was overtaken after a few meters by Andrea Rossi. The two Italians had a great fight, but about 8 minutes from the end Rossi was overtaken by Osterhagen and the Italian immediately fell down into a corner to Lata’s advantage. Rossi gets up but ends up on the last step of the podium.

La prima prova degli Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2021 si conclude nel migliore dei modi, nonostante le difficoltà della pandemia che attanaglia il mondo intero. Un buon messaggio di speranza per la ripresa di tutti gli eventi sportivi nazionali ed internazionali. 

Prossimo appuntamento ancora in Sardegna per il 7 marzo ad Alghero.

The first round of the Internationals of Italy MX EICMA Series 2021 ends in the best way, with the difficulties of the pandemic in the world. A good message for national and international sporting events, for all people and for all those who have a passion for motors.
